April 2016 DCC Meeting

Yay, spring is finally here!!! And with that we welcome you to the April DCC meetup, returning to Baobab Tree Studios in New Haven. We have a pretty special one this month, while most every company in the country is out at NAB (more on that later), we have a couple local heavy hitters that want to share some wisdom with you!

This month we are graced by the presence of local Geek Girl, and Women in Film president Alecia Jean Orsini Lebeda (say that 5 times fast), as well a representative from the CT film office who will help us understand what we can do to help grow the industry here, and hopefully hear some of our suggestions as well.

Alecia Orsini is a selfie-queen and an award winning multi-media professional. As CEO of Good Natured Dog Productions she brings the world of filmmaking to her diverse clients, in a wide array of industries. She loves to “geek out” and does so as Geek Girl #26, traveling the country teaching video production, social media, and personal branding at Geek Girl TechCon. A lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, she looks for opportunities to empower young women, and does so through Geek Girl, and as President of Women in Film & Video of New England. Beware she carries and camera and isn’t afraid to use it!
